[Linux-HA] doubts about using Heartbeat 2 or (Heartbeat 1 and
(ldirector or keepalived))

Hi.
I'm trying to design a Linux HA cluster with a bunch of servers and I have
a few doubts.
First doubt is if I should configure Heartbeat 1 or Heartbeat 2. Whilst
HB2 seems the obvious choice, there is far less documentation and
examples, but my main doubt arises when I read that with HB2 there is no
need for ldirector or keepalived, as the best examples I've found are
precisely the ones with HA1 and ldirector or keepalived, adn they seem
much easier toi implement than HB2. Any recommendations on how to start
with HB2 to overcome this?
IF I take the HB2 path, which I would prefer, I see that I can start, stop
and monitor services in different servers/groups. But, how is this
balanced? Should I configure IPVS on each server? Which is the best way?
AFAICS, HB2 main gola is to keep the service running in a virtual IP in
the cluster, but what if I want to load balance web servers and RO mysql
instances? How should I do it?
Thanks very nuch for your help, I've been reading the documentation for
quite a few days and testing configurations in a development network and I
cannot find a definate answer to my questions, sorry if they are too
basic.
