Part of my problem is that when I try to start heartbeat, it seems to
start, and then quietly dies a couple of minutes later, with nothing in
the logs. I did try setting up logging. I copied the sample
ha_logd.cf to /etc/ha.d/ha_logd.cf (though it seems that it should be
logd.cf instead - I'd suggest that either the sample config file have
the same name as the real config file, or have a config option to
specify the name of the logd config file, or both). Still, it seems that
something should show up in syslog. It does log when ha_logd is stopped.
All in all, I've found something simpler that will work, and I can have
up and running relatively quickly. I'll keep an eye on heartbeat
development, though.
