[Linux-HA] Simple Resource Monitoring

I have two MySQL database servers running two-way replication. I have 
setup a failover on a shared IP address. I am running linux-ha version 
2. I want to monitor MySQL to manage the failover on the IP. I want 
MySQL to be running at all times on both machines in the cluster and I 
want to failover the IP if MySQL dies on the primary node. Is there a 
simple way to do this? It looks to me like CRM might be overkill and 
looks to be somewhat complicated. Any ideas?
