Hi,
I am configuring an HA cluster with 4 nodes consisting of HP Proliants.
All these servers are remotely manageable through ILO interfaces. To
interact with the ILO devices, we need to specify the password. I was
told to export the variables RI_HOST and RI_PASSWORD into the shell.
But there is a problem in this solution. It is okay for a two node
cluster in which I need to fence down only one server when heartbeat
fails.
To enable us to interface with multiple servers, we need to make use
of some other method other than exporting the password into the shell.
Is it possible to add another nvvalue pair into cib.xml so that we can
specify the password from the HB_GUI itself.
This problem may be existing for other types of fencing devices in which
a login based on password is needed to interface with the device.
I am new to HA cluster. Am I missing something here ?. Can somebody make
some suggetions on how to get around this problem ?.
With thanks
Janardh
