[Linux-HA] Hardware requirements

You can set up a test heartbeat environment without expensive hardware.
The only things you should have are 2 PC ( better if identical, but no problems if they aren't ) and one ( or better more than one ) link between the two boxes, so that heartbeat packets are sent from one node to another. This link(s) could be ethernet, serial cable ( also USB ), firewire...
If you are a begginer like me I suggest you to read the documentation, FAQs, search the web for successful stories and... try, try, try
You can find information at linux-ha.org . This page has plenty of links to other interesting resources
Lots of questions have been answered on the mailing lists. If you have questions, check out the mail archives: you will probably find quickly the answer.

Greetings
Mauro

  Subject: [Linux-HA] Hardware requirements

  Hello all,

I want to set up an HA linux cluster using the heardbeat software.
Before to proceed, I was looking for the heardbeat cluster hardware requirements.
I need to know if I need an external SCSI disks or it could be internal to the nodes.
For example, two nodes each node with one or more SCSI disk, sharing data between them.
If this second way to configure runs, could be this disks IDE disks?

  Any clue will be welcomed.

Could you sendme any link with this information?

  Ismael.
