Specifying the alias number isn't a particularly good idea.

Can actually do exactly that. However, we probably don't want a dependency on
procmail ,-)
FailSafe solves this problem by having a separate process - ha_ifd - which not
only does constant interface diagnostics but also is queried by the scripts
which interface (from the list of interfaces which could potentially bind the
address, there could be more than one) is alive and healthy.
You know, it is kind of sad that ha_ifd has some dependencies on FailSafe
internal stuff, otherwise we could just reuse it :-/
