Heartbeat not Giving up Resources

Just to let everyone know that I managed to figure it out... I was
configuring 192.168.1.22 on server0 with the
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0:0 file instead of letting
heartbeat configure the interface. I removed the file and now all is
good. :-) In fact, it is pretty cool.
One thing I did notice is that if i restart /etc/rc.d/init.d/heartbeat,
then I get the error
Apr 1 17:24:51 server0 /usr/lib/heartbeat/heartbeat[1013]: cannot open
serial /dev/ttyS0
Is there a way to free up the serial port?
