Parallel databases on linux HA?

One application of HA that I work with is parallel database
servers such at Oracle Parallel Server.. I've worked with
this on both Sun Cluster 2.1 and MC/lockmanager (HP MC/Serviceguard
with extensions to support OPS). (And will be soon on DEC trucluster
PDB and possibly IBM HACMP)
My question is: Oracle uses something called 'GMS' or 'Group Membership
Services' to talk to the HA clustering daemons.. in my preliminary
search, I have not found any specification as to how these clustering
daemons responsd to the OPS GMS daemon.
Since Oracle now supports linux.. it would be interesting to try getting
OPS running.. though I don't even know if they included the ogmsd in the
linux distribution.. I will check...
If anybody has worked with this and has any pointers on where to get
this info (Oracle doesn't seem too open to talking about it), please
contact me. Thanks,
thanks,
