More Linux-HA heartbeat thoughts

I've been trying to think [a dangerous activity] some more about Linux-HA and
heartbeat processes.  The results of this random rumination can be found in a
couple of documents found on the web at:

Please comment on them back to the list.  They're pretty rough at this point
but should indicate what I had in mind.

If they're absolutely terrible, then I can blame it on typing them in during
the last 200 miles of a 630 mile car trip :-)
